Full Moon in Libra April 2025

This Full Moon in Libra April 2025 is a strongly karmic one, which is concluding lessons of the eclipse and bringing balance through strong release of relationship and business entanglements. Full moon is always a time of revelation of hidden truths and the culmination of a process that started during the last New Moon. It means that processes which started during the New Moon Eclipse in Aries are coming to a conclusion now, with the Full Moon in Libra. Despite this not being an eclipse, energy is still strongly tied to the eclipse season, not only because this full moon emerged from the solar eclipse, but also because this is the final chord of the previous Lunar Nodes axis (Aries-Libra). It may seem weird for a new beginning - we experienced a powerful push forward with the New Moon Eclipse in Aries, tightly linked with Neptune entering Aries. Why are we still in the past, in karmic clearing?  

Lunar side of the Full Moon

First of all - currently Lunar Nodes (destiny points) are transiting new axis, but the North Node is in Pisces. Sign that is all about dissolution, release of the past, grieving the past and letting go, allowing yourself to trust the process of transition that is happening through clearing karmic blueprint from the old cycle. Venus, who rules over (Full) Moon’s sign (Libra) during culmination, is stopping and preparing to go direct, in sign of Pisces - being also conjunct Saturn and North Node. This brings intensity in karmic resolutions, resurfacing of not yet released contracts, patterns, hidden in the shadows. Ones that secretly bind us to past and don't allow us to move forward, no matter how hard we would like to close eyes and pretend it doesn’t influence our beginnings. It does and this full moon is directing its power to illuminate these hidden corners of our past cycles, utilising power of destiny and karmic authority (North Node x Saturn). We are commanded, not asked, to finish this cleansing, reach as deep as the end, to the last corner, drop and shadow. It is going even deeper if we consider the closeness of Lilith to the Moon (7 degree) and Lilith’s opposition to the Sun. Lilith is amplifying this process, bringing in the transformational energy of Scorpio, revealing the most dark and shamed parts of us that need to be held, even if only for a moment before releasing them into void. 

Moon is supported by Jupiter in Gemini and Uranus in Taurus (sextiles), which means that we can experience both heart expansion through communication and emotional revelations, changes, clarity around our needs, values and sense of security. 

It is also supported by Venus-Saturn-North Node conjunct (sextile), which bring sacred chance to release old patterns around love and relational roles. To set new boundaries not from trauma space, but being rooted in the truth of our soul.

Solar side of the Full Moon

On the other side of the axis - Sun in Aries is all about self-expression and self-delivery, in bold and assertive ways. It seeks to illuminate all spaces in which we cut ourselves short, compromise with harm to our own freedom of expression, creativity and eagerness to start a fire that will warm our soul. It seeks to culminate the initiative spark of the New Moon solar Eclipse into stable, fully burning fire. What can be hard is that it is conjunct with Chiron, during Full Moon culmination. And that brings shame around being yourself, as you are, in your most raw and authentic form, to the surface. It’s painful and it is in opposition to Lilith in Scorpio, boldly revealing the most shamed truths about yourself. This is the real struggle of our self in this Full Moon. Being pulled in front of reflections of all the times we combusted and defied our self-integrity, because of shame. That responds to subjects of Virgo South Node - who asks us to release self-judgment, pressure to be perfectly organized and not messy; who asks us to be perfectly hiding all the shameful parts of self. And since North Node is so strongly activated by Venus and Saturn… It comes into the equation too - a strong pull on the thorn piercing our most vulnerable darkness, put here for us to remember to not be raw and authentic, because it can put us in a space of trauma.

Hard? Yes. Especially with Chiron and Lilith opposing each other and creating tension that unearths deepest pain and shame connected to deepest truth of our core, buried in darkness and called to come into light of Aries, to be expressed - loudly, boldly, unapologetically.  

Ruler of the Full Moon

There are two options. 

We can trace rulership over this Full Moon back to Moon itself: Moon in Libra (sign ruler: Venus) → Venus Rx in Pisces conjunct Saturn (sign ruler: Neptune) → Neptune in Aries (sign ruler: Mars) → Mars in Cancer (sign ruler: Moon) → Moon). It would mean for us that Moon rules over it’s own revelations, over it’s own self-reflection, coming into our space as embodiment of our second nature - one hidden away for a long time, buried in shadows, coming to show the beautiful balance our true self could have, after integration of shadow parts. Moon (our subconscious self) is baptising itself in tears shed over relationships that overused space, kindness, diplomacy. Relationships that demanded from us sacrifices of some parts of our raw authenticity in order to maintain harmony, balance and peace. Luna’s cycle feeds into itself: feminine principle is nourishing, restructuring, and rebirthing itself through layers of archetypal filters—Venus and Saturn (desire and structure), Neptune (dissolution), Mars (protection), and back to the Moon (soul). With help of dark feminine - Lilith, helping to reach to the core and take the thorn out, release sacred transformation.

This is the way it can go for people who are aligned more with Lunar and Neptunian energies, find it more easy to let go and trust the process, release hurt and process grief in own sacred space. This group will receive help of Jupiter (expanding heart through communication - deep and vulnerable journaling or talk with an entrusted spirit) and Uranus (revelation through connection to own body - tantric meditation for example). This won’t happen for all, as this is rather the secret pathway through this Full Moon. But it will be likely the way for you, if you are in deep connection to your feminine energies, able to embrace diverse and intense emotions with unconditional acceptance and love (Neptune in Aries will help you). 

And we can trace rulership to Venus, taking the direct path and heaviness of influence that comes from her suspension before moving direct and merging with Saturn and North Node. 

This is likely an option that will happen most commonly. Venus rules over this Full Moon from the place of resolution and release, from the place of grieving and restructuring, in order to move towards new destiny, seek more unconditional embrace in relationships and business partnerships. She gives Moon a blueprint of the future that is free of karmic bindings, but not with ease - but resurfacing those that need closure and release now. She reflects on the Moon, showing the cracked mirror of our self-worth and telling us: this is not you anymore, therefore… you shouldn’t accept what is below this line. Instead we are asked to review and create new terms, aligned with the changes in our self-worth and values, that we worked on during the retrograde.

Saturn brings back some last lessons here. Asks us to choose between fantasy, ghosts of the past and new direction, after resolution and restructuring. One that is anchored in our new self-worth, that embraces are more, making space for parts of self that come in raw, authentic, need people who can embrace what before was “too much” or “not enough”. I think it’s worth remembering Lilith in this, as she asks us in this space to include that most shamed truth of our self into this process. As we ask for more space… Let’s ask also for space for this part too. Especially with Sun in Aries conjunct Chiron, revealing deep pain and shame that this raw beauty faced in the past. Let’s make as much space as it needs, resolving old contracts and creating spacious new ones that can hold our raw self.     

Additional influences

Sun-Moon monthly opposition is squared by Mars in Cancer (being ruled by Moon), who brings in tension of unresolved emotional turbulence, vulnerability coming in in outbursts or the opposite - resisting in fear of being misread and seeking a shell to hide in, to build an emotional wall. We may experience being misread and our emotional expression, triggered by impulse, being treated as a threat. And this, in my personal opinion, is a great reality check about how others can embrace us, in these states, where we come messy in our vulnerability. This can reveal truth - who will embrace you, with your mess and inner conflict, and who will treat it as a threat to won controlled emotional environment within?

And if Mars squares the Sun… He also squares Chiron. Emotional turbulence behind the walls, met with pain and shame of one’s self, faced with threat of being misread and our vulnerability being treated as threat? This is an intense trigger that deserves space to scream. And since Neptune is driven by Mars energies right now - I recommend art to release this pain and shame, unapologetically.  

Worth mentioning is tightening up opposition between Mars (who is about to ingress Leo) and Pluto in Aquarius. This is a layer of this Full Moon that is deep and in the background. The upcoming major conflict. Mars in Leo is  hunger to be seen and recognised for our action, our will, courage. He craves autonomy, honour, creative dramaticism to be met with standing ovation. And he meets with the reality of a slowly moving but very deep transformation of the collective, seeking not to elevate the loudest and most performative individuals… but to push the whole collective into radical transformation of the social mind. He wants strategy, he wants to overthrow old structures that strangle evolution. This is a tug-of-war between personal power and collective transformation. Will, heart desires and ego against the greater system and greater power. This is a power struggle that can trigger rage and put ego to trial. Your voice may feel suppressed by collective systems, your performance no longer grants you power…

It may cause people to act out for attention to mask deep fear of irrelevance; clash with authority figures, systems that reflect unhealed power wounds; power games in relationships around visibility, control or freedom. 

The way to use this energy to personal alchemy is to learn to wield visible power without falling into ego traps, to reclaim your voice in the face of collective pressure and to become a channel of magnetic force that changes the system by expression filled with courage. Alchemise performance into prophetic channel, aligning with changes that Pluto wants to bring into collective. Use your voice and personal power in alignment with ideas and humanitarianism of Aquarius spirit. 

How is this tension adding to the Full Moon energy? It simply feels as a natural next step and this part of the post is rather a reminder to keep an eye for your ego, under influence of Neptune in Aries, that can make your delulu… less solulu and more of a risk of painful ego death :)

Summary 

This Full Moon in Libra seeks to find new balance and harmony not through simply manifesting our desires but through refining our truth, making it sharp and clear. To take off rose-colored glasses we wore throughout many relationship cycles and for good resolve karmic patterns that keep us in cycles, experiencing the same story about not finding space for our most raw, authentic self in connection with the other. Mars wants safety, not performance. Venus with her colleagues (Saturn and North Node) wants sacred union, not an illusion of it based on compromises. Moon wants to feel without collapsing into shadow and secretly coping with the costs of repression. Sun wants us to start a new chapter, where we are known as we are, not as curated public persona. And Neptune wants us to release old sheds of our past and trust who we are becoming in this process. That we will find the right people not by performing balanced and harmonious frequencies, but by being real.  

This isn’t an easy process - it is an awakening to costs, separations within, rejections, abandonments and betrayals of trust. To rage of our shadows being left behind for the other cause, for desire to fit in, stay in relationship, not be the problem, not be too much, just be enough. Lilith comes in to say: And on top of this, there is your most sacred part that carries phoenix’s spark and unbound creativity, lifeforce, pure sexual power. Take it. 

This is where spark of new idea becomes a fire hurricane of changes. It either will make you collapse into yourself… Or embody your phoenix self.
